The Ladbrokes Trophy race is run over a distance of three miles and 21 furlongs. Last year’s event saw a prize purse of £250,000. Past winners of the Ladbrokes Trophy include Native River, Many Clouds, and Arkle.

Coral Welsh Grand National – 27 December

Horse racing doesn’t take time off after Christmas as the Coral Welsh Grand National is run on Friday, 27^th December. The Welsh Grand National is a top race on the calendar and its post-Christmas running means plenty of eyes are upon it.
